NYIEC Annual Luncheon (MEMBERS + INVITED GUESTS ONLY)

Please plan to attend our Annual 2018 NYIEC Annual Luncheon on Thursday, May 10, 2018.   Each Member Agency is encouraged to invite from 5-7 persons from your organization to attend.  This event is a highlight of our calendar year and is a great opportunity to network with leaders of other Member Agencies.   Please invite leaders of your organization to learn more about NYIEC, enjoy a great meal in a beautiful midtown venue and attend an engaging presentation. 

Please RSVP at your earliest opportunity, no later than end of day Tuesday, May 1, with the number of persons attending and list of attendees.  (Please provide name, PE or RA, and title for preparation of name tags).  Also, please indicate if any of the attendees have any food allergies or have special dietary needs, so we can pass this along to the caterer.

Cost:  There is no cost to NYIEC Member Agencies or Public Utilities

(5-7 persons from each organization)

Location:   The Union League Club, 38 East 37th Street, New York, NY 10016 (between Park & Madison)

Dress Code: Traditional Business attire (jacket required; equally formal attire for women);

Guests in jeans, sneakers or other casual attire will not be admitted to the Club

Speaker:  Anthony J. Fiore, Deputy Commissioner & Chief Energy Management Officer, New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services

As Chief Energy Management Officer for the City of New York, Anthony has overall responsibility for purchasing energy for municipal operations and demand management for all City agencies, cultural institutions, hospitals, schools and universities.  Anthony is responsible for managing a $700 million annual energy supply budget, and a $2.7 billion 10-year capital budget to develop and implement programs to achieve the City’s One City: Built to Last strategy of an 80 percent reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Prior to this role, Anthony served as the Director of Energy Regulatory Affairs for the City of New York and was responsible for acting as the primary energy policy advocate for the City of New York before numerous State and Federal Agencies, and providing analysis in a wide range of regulatory and legislative matters related to energy.

Anthony received a Bachelors in Science from Binghamton University and a Master’s in Public Health from the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University.
